There is no such thing as a partial day off for medical leave, so taking a leave day means no chance. From my experience, you would be sent to hr during your shift to explain why your upt is negative. Just get your butt to work and quit your bawl’n !! Despite the use of an amazon mask, 4 days after i was sick as a dog onsite, half of the people i came in contact with are sick.

Amazon‘s unpaid time off (upt) policy provides warehouse associates and other hourly workers flexibility in taking time off from work without pay. Use upt, get a doctor's note, or just suck it up. Head to atoz and initiate a leave for when you were sick! Say you’re having covid symptoms and get 5 days off.
You need to fill out the forms for a medical leave and have a doctor state you are not able to work, the diagnosis, course of treatment, and when you can return to work full duty with no restrictions. And they still tried to fire me when i went negative, bc i left early. If there’s no pto to cover your time, you can request vacation to cover it instead. But how well do you.

Contact your loa (leave of absence deopartment) through erc and let them know you have to and would like to file for a medical short term disability. You should not be losing upt for a sick day, but you must take a full day for medical leave. There is no “sick time” at amazon. You pay for the missed hours with upt, pto, etc.
The only thing you can do is take a medical leave, but you would have a dr fill out paperwork. Is it possible to have an unpaid leave of absence without medical documentation?
