This issue really comes into focus for those with shorter legs. I have noticed the bike runs cooler at lower speeds than at prolonged highway speeds so i think the cooling system is undersized for the heat load when relying on air flow. I had heat issues on my 110 break out.

Looking to get into a 2020 cvo but my experiences with the heat coming off the 110 have me. I have a street glide special, 2021 m8 114. The increased heat levels can be a problem, especially in hot weather.
My 2018 road king typically turns in temperatures on the m8 107 of about 210f or sometimes up to 220f, as measured by the hd digital oil dipstick.
I had them install the hd oil cooler and a jims cooling fan. Heat from the exhaust system can become uncomfortable, especially riding in slow traffic. I have a street glide special, 2021 m8 114. Anyone experiencing any overheating issues with the m8 117 or the s&s 128 kit?
I added a fan and air wings, those two do a lot for the heat. This is at least 50f cooler. K4fxd is on the mark, the temp sensor on an m8 is located in the rear head, instead of the front like a twin cam, and with this you will see much higher recorded operating. Did a stage i and it got better but was still hot on the right side.
